Method
Make the graham cracker crust
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a sheet pan with parchment if desired for easier cooling.
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until the crumbs look evenly moistened.
- Press the crumb mixture firmly into a 9x13 baking dish to form an even crust layer.
- Bake at 350°F for 8 minutes until set and lightly fragrant, then cool completely before layering.
Assemble the ice cream dessert
- Spread the softened butter pecan ice cream over the cooled crust in an even layer.
- Drizzle half the caramel sauce over the ice cream, letting it form a thin ribbon on top.
- Freeze for 4 hours until firm.
- Spread the whipped topping over the frozen surface to cover it completely.
- Scatter the toasted pecans over the whipped topping, then drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top.
- Freeze for 2 more hours until scoopable and firm.
Notes
For the cleanest slices, let the dessert sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping. Store covered in the freezer for up to 2–3 weeks; freeze yes (best within that window). For a lighter option, use sugar-free caramel sauce and a lower-sugar whipped topping while keeping the rest unchanged.
