Ingredients

Baguette
  • 1 baguette Sliced 1/2 inch thick on the bias.
Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
Feta mixture
  • 8 oz feta Crumbled.
  • 4 oz cream cheese Softened.
  • 2 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
Topping
  • 0.25 cup hot honey
  • 0.5 red pepper flakes For garnish.
  • 0.5 fresh thyme For garnish.

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan
  • 1 food processor
  • 1 oven

Method

Toast the baguette
  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Brush the baguette slices with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 6-8 minutes, until golden and crisp. Remove the crostini to a serving tray.
Whip the feta
  1. Add feta, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and lemon zest to a food processor. Blend until fluffy and smooth.
Assemble
  1. Spread a thick layer of whipped feta on each crostini. Make sure the topping covers the surface for a dense, creamy bite.
  2. Drizzle with hot honey. Top with red pepper flakes and fresh thyme for garnish.

Notes

For the smoothest whipped texture, use fully softened cream cheese and process until no visible lumps remain. Refrigerate leftover whipped feta in an airtight container for up to 3 days; re-toast fresh baguette slices and spread just before serving. Freezing is not recommended because the yogurt and cream cheese can grain after thawing. Dietary swap: use dairy-free cream cheese and yogurt for a dairy-free version (texture may be slightly softer).
