Ingredients

Chocolate ice cream
  • 0.5 gallon chocolate ice cream Soften until spreadable, not melted.
Vanilla ice cream
  • 0.5 gallon vanilla ice cream Soften until spreadable, not melted.
Oreo crunch layer
  • 20 Oreo cookies Crush into fine-to-medium crumbs for even texture.
  • 0.5 cup hot fudge sauce Warm slightly so it mixes smoothly into the crumbs.
Whipped topping
  • 2 cup whipped topping Use thawed whipped topping for the smooth final layer.
Chocolate decoration
  • 0.5 cup chocolate shell or ganache Drizzle over the top for the signature finish.
  • 0.33 colorful sprinkles Add right before final freezing so they adhere.

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan
  • 1 springform pan

Method

Freeze the chocolate base
  1. Spread the softened chocolate ice cream into the bottom of a 9x13 pan or 10-inch springform, pressing into an even layer. Freeze for 1 hour until firm, and the surface should look set and not wobbly.
Make and layer the Oreo fudge crunch
  1. Mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the hot fudge sauce until the crumbs are evenly coated. Spread this crunch layer evenly over the frozen chocolate ice cream, then freeze for 30 minutes until the middle layer firms up.
Add and freeze the vanilla layer
  1. Spread the softened vanilla ice cream over the Oreo crunch layer and smooth completely so the edges are sealed. Freeze for at least 4 hours until hard, with the top layer looking matte and fully set.
Top, decorate, and freeze to serve
  1. Spread the whipped topping over the vanilla layer in an even coat. Decorate with drizzled chocolate shell or ganache and sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top, then freeze at least 2 more hours before serving so slices hold their shape.

Notes

Pro tip: soften ice cream just enough to spread—if it melts, the layers won’t stack cleanly. Store covered in the freezer for up to 2 weeks; for best texture, thaw 5–10 minutes at room temperature before slicing. Freezing is essential—do not refrigerate instead. For a lighter option, use lower-fat whipped topping and light ice cream, but expect a slightly softer slice.
